Research Summary

A topic that I am very interested in would be how teen pregnancy rate have gone up the last ten years. Many people have their different beliefs as to why this has taken place. Teenagers are starting to have sexual intercourse at a younger age nowadays, and alot of them are ending up with unwanted pregnancies. I have decided to do a research paper on the increasing rate of teen pregnancy, and the reason for those rises in numbers. Alot of what I have read about this situation says teen pregnancy has gone up alot because children are experimenting with sex at younger ages. Alot of students are being pressured more and more by the opposite sex to give in to their sexual urges.
There is even an study out about teenage girls being more sexually agressive than teenage boys. Another reason given for this increase in teenage pregnancy would be that alot of these teen moms are growing up in single mom homes with little to none parental guidance. Leaving alot of teenagers with alot of freedom. Some people have their different solutions to teenage pregnancy. As I stated before people believe it is do to no parental guidance, so if single moms were able to keep an closer eye on their children the problem would be solved. Well, it is not that simple because single moms mostly have full-time jobs they have to work in order to support their family.
It is like this topic is entangled in a large web of other problems because in order to solve this problem you most be able to solve a few more problems. I feel this is a good topic for an argumentive paper because their are a lot of different arguments that could be brought up during a discussion about teen pregnancy. A lot of arguments as to why we have this problem, and a lot as to how we can solve it.
